The Alliance Partnership were the main sponsors of a 5km Sponsored walk for Cancer Relief. The walk took place close to our office in Larnaca, Cyprus in November 2012.
All proceeds were donated to the following charities:
My name is Will Rush. In 2015 I am visiting South America with my school rugby team The Kings Grammer School Grantham. We are playing teams of a national standard in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.
It is an opportunity of a lifetime for me and I am proud and extremely grateful to have been offered sponsorship support from The Alliance Partnership to help fund my trip. I will report back on the experience and some photos when I return.
The team photo here is from when we won the County 7s tournament in March 2014. Sport is a very important part of my life and I hope to play rugby to a high standard for many years to come.
The Alliance Partnership and our Financial Advisors have recently sponsored a primary school in Africa .
Sponsorship has meant that the school has been able to purchase essential food supplies and School materials.
We have also donated toys, children’s clothes and further school materials. The school is based in Kigali, Rwanda. It is a small school of 30 children and two unpaid teachers. All the children come from underprivileged local families that are unable to send their children to the nearest state schools, as they are too far away or there are no available places for the children.
The children learn English and Maths and go to school from 7.30am to 12.00pm every day.

SCOPE is a UK based charity that supports sufferers of Cerebral Palsy. Disabled people face barriers to equality in all aspects of their lives and SCOPE’s mission is to make equality a reality.
"I have completed two major fundraising events for SCOPE – the first was to summit Kilimanjaro (5895m) in Tanzania in 2010 and this year (2012) we climbed Kala Patthar in Nepal (5545m). Kala Patthar sits adjacent to Mount Everest and overlooks Base Camp and the spectacular Khumbu Glacier. To summit Kilimanjaro is mightily difficult and soul destroying although the view from the top at sunrise is a fitting reward. The overall trek in Nepal was far more challenging (and took twice as long as Kilmanjaro) but to be amongst the most spectacular scenery on the planet will live with me forever. Seeing Mount Everest itself was a real ‘tick in the box’!
Over the two events we raised in excess of £150,000 (net of costs) for SCOPE but this of course would not have been possible were it not for the generosity of donors like The Alliance Partnership. On both treks The Alliance Partnership have been my largest single donor and have been instrumental in me reaching the targets I have set myself. I will always be grateful for the support (both financial and moral) they have given me."
